As a Seattle-based wedding photographer since 2009, I’ve had the privilege of documenting love stories across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Kristen and Ariel’s Bohemian fall wedding at Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island was a unique and memorable celebration that I had the honor of capturing through my lens. This wedding was my very first wedding and it got published in the Seattle Metropolitain Bride and Groom magazine. It was unbelievable that my very first photographing a Seattle area wedding got picked to be in a wedding magazine.
Roche Harbor Wedding Venue, nestled on the picturesque San Juan Island, provided the perfect backdrop for Kristen and Ariel’s unconventional celebration. With its waterfront views, lush landscapes, and historic charm, the venue set the stage for a Bohemian-inspired affair.
Kristen and Ariel infused their wedding with a Bohemian vibe, incorporating elements of free-spiritedness and creativity into every aspect of the celebration. From the decor to the attire, their wedding exuded an unconventional and laid-back charm that reflected their unique personalities. Kristen chose to wear a lay instead of a traditional flower bouquet.
Throughout the wedding, Bohemian themes were evident in the decor and ambiance. Dreamcatchers, macrame accents, and vibrant floral arrangements adorned the venue, creating a whimsical and bohemian atmosphere that perfectly complemented Kristen and Ariel’s vision.
Adding to the Bohemian charm of the wedding was Kristen’s homemade wedding cake. As a talented baker, Kristen crafted a stunning masterpiece that not only looked beautiful but also captured the essence of the Bohemian theme with its rustic elegance and natural elements. The cake was a hit and it was completely gone by the end of the wedding.
Kristen and Ariel personalized their wedding with handcrafted decor and personalized details that reflected their love for DIY projects and creativity. From hand-painted signage to handwritten love notes, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance the Bohemian ambiance of the celebration.
My photography style focuses on capturing candid moments and natural poses that authentically reflect the emotions of the day. Kristen and Ariel’s Bohemian wedding provided ample opportunities to capture genuine moments of joy, love, and spontaneity, creating timeless memories for them to cherish.
The fall season added an extra layer of magic to Kristen and Ariel’s Bohemian wedding. The changing colors of the foliage and the crisp autumn air provided a stunning backdrop for the festivities, enhancing the overall ambiance of the celebration.
Photographing Kristen and Ariel’s Bohemian fall wedding was a truly unforgettable experience. From the Bohemian-inspired decor to the heartfelt moments shared between the couple and their loved ones, every aspect of the celebration reflected their love story and unique personalities.
Kristen and Ariel’s Bohemian fall wedding at Roche Harbor Wedding Venue was a beautiful reflection of their love, creativity, and individuality. It was an honor to capture their special day and to be a part of their unique and memorable celebration.
